About Remarkable

Remarkable, previously known as Lakeside Packaging Plus, is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to enhancing the lives of individuals with diverse abilities. We achieve this by offering purposeful employment, engaging projects, and enriching activities. Our operations span two key locations in Neenah and Oshkosh, supplemented by our Community Prevocational Services.

A Legacy of Inclusion and Support

Founded in 1962 by a group of visionary parents of children with diverse abilities, Remarkable emerged from a collaborative effort involving Winnebago ARC (now Covey), Neenah/Menasha ARC (now SOAR Fox Cities, Inc.), and Mental Health Associates. This coalition recognized the essential need for an organization that could provide meaningful day services and projects. From its inception, Remarkable has stood as a cornerstone for the families it serves, offering a supportive environment for work and supervised activities.

A Growing Community of Associates

Today, Remarkable is proud to be home to over 200 associates. We have established ourselves as a reliable partner for local businesses, delivering expert services in hand-assembly and light production. Our expansion into prevocational services has opened new horizons for our associates, allowing them to gain valuable work experience directly within the community businesses.

Our journey is steered by a group of devoted Board Members. Their invaluable contributions, ranging from feedback and assessment to necessary approvals, ensure that Lakeside operates with the highest standards of care and professionalism.
